Tulips, roses, eucalyptus, gypsophila – whatever you choose, flowers are a huge part of your day and are something that represents the whole ambiance of your wedding. We’ve teamed up with Hannah, owner of The F* Word who has been running her business since 2020 and knows anything and everything about floral design! We’ve put together some very common question and answers which are asked by newly weds-to-be, we hope this can help you on your journey too!
As soon as possible! We recommend 18 months-2 years to make sure we can secure your date and have plenty of time to discuss in detail.
2. How much should I consider budgeting for flowers?
We work to all budgets and feel you should budget what you’d feel comfortable spending. We always like to give our couples the most amount of options with a variety of prices so they can choose what suits them. We also offer different ways of using your flowers throughout the day to get the most for your money.
3. Do I need a colour scheme before booking my flowers?
Not at all! It’s a good starting point, however as you’ll be booking so far in advance we always expect things to change so you can change your mind as many times as you like but be prepared for price increases & decreases that could occur.
4. Should I send inspirational pictures to you?
Pictures are a good idea so we can make sure we are on the same page when it comes to style but if you don’t have any pictures to go by then of course, we will do our best to inspire you with imagery & ideas from us.
5. Can I choose flowers that are out of season?
We only work with seasonal flowers.
6. When will the flowers be delivered to us at the wedding?
Depending on what you are having from us on the day will depend on when we deliver flowers to your venue. We are usually there from the moment we can get in to start setting up! If we only have bouquets to deliver then we arrive 2 hours before your ceremony.
7. How long will the flowers last once delivered to us?
Flowers are of course a living product however we will always be there on hand during the day to take the best care of your flowers. Once the flowers leave the site after your wedding, we just ask you to get them into water as soon as possible to enjoy them for as long as possible!
8. How long does it typically take to set up at a wedding?
Typically it takes us a few hours if we are setting up tables, ceremony & arches.
9. Can I move my ceremony flowers to the reception?
Absolutely! We encourage this, to make the most use of them.
10. Can you work with the cake maker to have fresh flowers on my cake?
Yes, we work with cake makers regularly.
11. Can I see the flowers prior to the wedding day?
Unfortunately, we don’t offer an appointment to see all the flowers beforehand unless you want to pay for a wedding workshop to come and see them the day before.
